dc.description.abstract From Salt Lake City to Kansas City, the book arts are flourishing across America’s heartland – providing ample opportunity for libraries in the region to build unique collections. This seminar will gather curators from institutions from the Southwest, Mountain West, and Midwest to talk about the opportunities and challenges of working with local artists and printers in their areas. The group will discuss such topics as collection development trends, outreach to local or regional book arts communities, and strategies for incorporating the work of local artists into the classroom and in other library programming.
