Abstract:
During the review process or changes to AACR2 Chapter 3, a member of MAGERT's Cataloging and Classification Committee pointed out that the examples following the second paragraph in 3.5D1 are not correct. This paragraph was added in the 1988 edition with incorrect examples, but since by that time cartographic material catalogers were using Cartographic Materials: A Manual of Interpretation for AACR2 and not AACR2, the error was not detected. This correction has been added to this proposal.
