Abstract:
On behalf of the American Library Association (ALA), thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on the draft report of the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s (GPO) Task Force on a Digital Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). We appreciate your establishment of the task force, as well as the task force members’ thoughtful and diligent work. The draft report outlines a vision for the future of the FDLP that is forward-looking and digital-first. In addition, the draft report identifies circumstances where there is an ongoing demand for certain print products.
