Abstract:
We submit these comments to add to the record available to FCC staff tasked with developing, managing, and administering the ACP Outreach Grant Program. In particular, ALA highlights the central role America’s libraries play in digital equity efforts nationwide and advocates for rules that will best enable libraries to expand ACP outreach and enrollment efforts. The Affordable Connectivity Program is vital to enabling digital opportunity for millions of Americans, but it has not yet reached its full potential. Funding trusted intermediaries, like libraries, to increase awareness and support program enrollment is essential to success.
