dc.description.abstract These associations represent over 100,000 libraries in the United States employing more than 350,000 librarians and other personnel. LCA welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Copyright Office’s notice of inquiry (“NOI”) concerning the merits of providing an option to defer examination of copyright registration application materials until a later request by the applicant. LCA opposes the creation of a deferred examination option particularly because of its adverse impact on deposits for the collection of the Library of Congress. en_US
