Abstract:
Project files from "Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln's Journey to Emancipation," a traveling exhibition organized by The Huntington Library and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, in cooperation with the ALA. The exhibit re-examined President Lincoln's efforts toward the abolition of slavery during the Civil War. Forty libraries throughout the country hosted the exhibit from 2002 to 2006.
