At the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco, the ALSC Board of Directors:

Accepted, a memorial resolution for Floyd Dickman as revised.
 
Approved, a pilot program that will add two slots at the 2016 Bill Morris Seminar for potential Coretta Scott King jurors who have not previously served on an ALA national award committee.
 
Approved, the Budget Committee’s recommendations for the FY-16 proposed budget and restricted funds as presented.
 
Accepted, the revised Competencies for Librarians Serving Children in Public Libraries in theory and committed to work with the Education Committee to refine the document for a final Board vote.
 
Accepted, the Meta Task Force recommendations, and thanked & sunsetted the task force.
 
Approved, clarification to the definition of “original work” in the “Expanded Definitions and Examples” section of the Sibert Award manual.
