“Open Source” Software

Abstract

There are tens-of-thousands of open source software products, many hundreds of which are in use by libraries. This PLA Tech Note focuses on only a small number of products, those that appear to be the most widely adopted. It is a companion to another entitled “Open Source” Integrated Library System Software, therefore, those products are not discussed herein.
