CC:DA/JSC Rep/JCA/2013/0 Follow-up Actions for ALA

Abstract

A major part of my report as JSC Rep will be to go over all the possible work that CC:DA might wish to undertake (see http://alcts.ala.org/ccdablog/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/actions201301.pdf). Some of these are ongoing activities of CC:DA Task Forces or of constituency groups. Others (most of them) are the result of comments that ALA made on proposals discussed at the November 2012 JSC meeting. Such comments suggested the need for additional revisions; given that we did not specify exactly what those revisions might be, I did not ask the JSC to act on those comments. Rather, I am bringing them back to the group to decide whether they want to pursue them. Before the meeting in Seattle, please look over the list of possible follow-up actions. If you recognize any as comments that you made, please be prepared to indicate whether you feel the revision is still needed and whether you are willing to work on drafting it. For liaisons, please be prepared to indicate whether any of the possible follow-up actions are of interest to the group you represent. There are a lot of possible follow-up actions to consider, and I don't want to spend a lot of time discussing them, so I am hoping that someone will have a recommendation on each of them.
