Nomar Perez received a 2022 (Pura) Belpré Illustrator Honor and a (Pura) Belpré Children’s Author Honor for De aquí como el coquí (Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, a division of Penguin Random House).
