Dr. Cardona has classroom, administrative, and state governance experience, bringing an unusually deep and broad background to lead the U.S. Department of Education. world. Dr. Cardona recognizes this. Under his leadership as the Connecticut Commissioner of Education, school librarians were regularly engaged in important education initiatives and activities.
