Abstract:
Jacqueline Woodson received the 2018 Children's Literature Legacy Award for her significant and lasting contribution to children's literature through books that demonstrate integrity and respect for all children's lives and experiences. She delivered her acceptance remarks at the Newbery-Caldecott-Legacy Banquet on Sunday, June 24, 2018, during the American Library Association Annual Conference.
