dc.description.abstract	Volume 3 contains the record of the actions of the Council as reported in the ALA Bulletin for the period 1947-1955. In 1954 reports of Council actions were also published in the Headquarters Reporter and these are included in Volume 4 of the Council Minutes. 1954 and 1955 Minutes are therefore covered in both Volumes 3 and 4 and the Indexes to Volumes 3 and 4. Since the ALA Bulletin and Headquarters Reporter accounts differ in coverage, both Indexes should be searched for these years. The Index for Volume 3 is in one part which includes corporate, committee, and unit names; subjects, and personal names.	en_US
