Abstract:
We appreciate your past support for providing funding increases for the Library Services
and Technology Act (LSTA) and urge you to continue this trend in the fiscal year 2021 Labor,
Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations bill. In 2018, Congress
demonstrated its resounding support for museums and libraries through its bipartisan
reauthorization of the Museum and Library Services Act. Given this strong Congressional
backing, we especially call your attention to the law’s changes to the Grants to States program,
which require an infusion of $11 million to implement following last year’s down payment of $6
million.
