[1] This evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Capitol building, House and 
Senate conferees will meet to continue discussion of H.R. 1, ESEA 
Reauthorization. 

ACTION NEEDED!
Library supporters should continue to contact House conferees (see 
contact information in ALAWON vol. 10 num. 72). Ask conferees to 
recede to Senate language on school library resources.


[2]Correction: ALAWON of 10/29/01 was incorrect. Senator Reed will 
not offer an amendment to the Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations 
bill currently being debated on the Senate floor.
