The ALA Washington Office is advised by our attorneys at Jenner and Block that attendance at the CIPA Training Session and the E-rate Forum will be accepted as meeting CIPA certification requirements for "undertaking actions." Documentation of attendance will be available. The CIPA Training Session will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2001, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Marriott Hotel, Salon 9. (It is one of the Breakout Sessions which follows the ALA Washington Office Update, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.) The CIPA Training Session will be conducted by Emily Sheketoff, Executive Director, ALA Washington Office; Thomas Susman, Esquire, the attorney who filed the ALA CIPA Comments; Mark Seifert, Deputy Chief, Federal Communications Commission; Dan Mach, Esquire, attorney in the ALA lawsuit against CIPA; and a public librarian. The E-rate Forum will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2001, from 1 to 4 p.m., in room 112 of the Moscone Center. The Forum will be conducted by Linda Schatz and John Noran, staff of the Schools and Libraries Division of the Universal Administrative and Co.
