ALAWON: American Library Association Washington Office Newsline Volume 10, Number 43 May 25, 2001 In this issue: [1] Washington Office Conference Web Site Launched! [2] Room Change for Washington Office Update at Annual 2001! [1] Washington Office Conference Web Site Launched! The ALA Washington Office has launched a new Web site dedicated to providing ALA Conference 2001 attendees and other interested library supporters with downloadable program materials for all Washington Office Conference programs, workshops, and meetings. The Web site, at http://www.ala.org/washoff/conferenceindex.html, currently contains calendar information for all Washington Office activities at Annual 2001 -- including important information on late-breaking room changes! As conference preparations are completed, the Web site will include all Washington Office program agendas and downloadable handouts for the Washington Office Update and all other WO Annual programs. Due to budgetary restraints and an ALA-wide directive to cut back on duplicating and shipping of hard-copy materials, hard-copy materials can NOT be made available at Washington Office programs this year. We encourage conference attendees to download program materials in advance of meetings, and to check the Web site during conference to confirm room numbers or late-breaking changes in program agendas. Hard-copy materials can be made available to those ALA members without Internet access. Please contact the ALA Washington Office at (800) 941-8478. [2] Room Change for Washington Office Update at Annual 2001!
