	Urgent Action Needed! Reed Bill Scheduled for Vote Monday, 
May 14th

ALAWON readers may have seen Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) Wednesday on 
the Senate floor discussing his School Libraries Bill. Reed and 
his supporters may be discussing the bill on the Senate floor 
today, Thursday the 10th, and tomorrow, Friday the 11th. The 
Senate vote on Reed's bill has been postponed until Monday, May 
14th. 

Thanks to all library supporters who contacted their Senators to 
urge their support of the Reed Bill. Your immediate action is 
again needed! Please call your Senators tonight, tomorrow, and 
Monday morning, May 14th Tell your Senators how important a 
separate line-item for school library materials is for kids' 
reading success.
