ALAWON: American Library Association Washington Office Newsline Volume 14, Number 108 November 7, 2005 In This Issue: Participate in the "Community Collaboration Videoconference" (November 30,2005) On Wednesday, November 30th, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST, the Partnership for a Nation of Learners (PNL) is sponsoring a "Community Collaboration Videoconference" designed to strengthen relationships among local museums, libraries, public broadcasting stations and public radio stations. PNL is a new initiative started by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to encourage museums, libraries, and public broadcasters to work together to address educational needs on the local level. The videoconference host, Ray Suarez, from The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, will introduce the PNL initiative and talk about grant opportunities and explore areas for collaboration among museums, libraries, and broadcasters. Register by November 17th to participate in the event.
