(See ALAWON Volume 7, Number 84 July 17, 1998.) Specifically SLC has been working on conducting a random sampling to verify their auditing procedures; completing work on to have its invoice processing systems in place; and awaiting completion of the independent audit being conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers before funding commitment letters are sent out. Funding commitment letters, the form 486 for beginning the discounts, and invoice forms are expected to be issued in the early fall. In anticipation of the issuance of these documents, the SLC has been working with state education and library agencies to schedule a series of workshops related to filling out the Form 486's needed to process reimbursements for eligible providers. Below is a list of workshops the SLC is planning to hold in each state.
