Due to overwhelming success and attendance at the first two summer workshops in Denver and Atlanta, the Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative is adding more space to its remaining workshops this summer! Visit the online registration site at http://www.t2tweb.us/Workshops/About.asp to sign-up for the following workshops: ** St. Paul Summer Workshop (June 20-21) The St. Paul Summer Workshop will offer sessions for teachers and administrators of grades K-8 in multiple content areas. The workshop will be held at the Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront. ** Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park Workshop with the National Park Service (June 22-23) Sessions will be offered for math and history teachers and administrators of grades K-8. Tours of the Wright Brother's bicycle and print shop, and the Huffman Prairie Field will be offered. ** Santa Clara Science Workshop with National Semiconductor (July 10-11) National Semiconductor has opened their doors for a Teacher-to-Teacher workshop in Santa Clara. Sessions will be offered for K-12 science teachers and administrators. ** Pittsburgh Summer Workshop (July 17-18) Sessions will be offered for teachers and administrators of grades 6-12 in multiple content areas. The workshop will be held at the Hilton Pittsburgh. ** Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Workshop with the National Park Service at Montana State University, Billings (July 20-21) Sessions will be offered for science and history teachers of grades K-12. Re-enactors and historians will relive the journey of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Foreign Language Workshops with a Special Emphasis on Mandarin Chinese ** Los Angeles (July 31-August 1); Washington, DC (August 3-4) Sessions will be offered for K-12 foreign language teachers and administrators, with special sessions focusing on the instruction of Mandarin Chinese. Program design and implementation will also be addressed. ** North Carolina Math and Science Workshop with Cisco (August 1-2) Cisco has opened their doors to math and science teachers and administrators of grades 8-12 for a free summer workshop. The workshop will take place at their facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. ** Redmond Math and Science Workshop with Microsoft (August 8-9) Microsoft will be hosting a math and science workshop for teachers and administrators of grades K-12. The workshop will be held at their facility in Redmond, Washington. ** Dearborn Reading and ESL Workshop (August 10-11) The Dearborn, Michigan summer workshop will offer sessions for K-12 teachers and administrators of reading and language arts, as well as teachers of English as a Second Language. All workshops are offered to K-12 teachers and administrators free of charge. Teachers may be able to earn professional development credit through their district or state for attending a Teacher-to-Teacher workshop.
