**Committee Charge: 

To provide support for librarians with an interest in the publication process.

 

Note:  Since this is a relatively new committee, formed from the New Writers Support Ad Hoc Committee, the Board will be discussing and voting on the committee's responsibilities at ALA Annual 2007.

 

**2006 - 2007 Project Description / Goals: 

The committee's goal is to provide an avenue for NMRT members to become more familiar with the publication process.

a.      Web Support (help with web page creation, web form creation, web database, web database, scripting, etc):    

While no forms or databases will be required, we will post a Web site before the end of 2006.  The committee does not have a Web site at present.

 

b. On-site conference volunteers: (include estimated numbers needed and brief job description)

c. Publicity planned for the committee (posting to other discussion lists, official press release for webpage, etc.): 

-Calls for proposals/submissions will be sent to the NMRT listserv

-Information about the new spring print Footnotes may be submitted to be published in the electronic editions of Footnotes in November and February
