**Goals, Objectives, Projects completed (including, but not limited to, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during the reporting year):

The committee resolved to lead monthly discussions on preset topics through the NMRT-L listserv. The discussions were held from November through April. With the exception of March and April, two committee members led each discussion. Three committee members handled the March discussion and the chair led the April discussion. The topics were as follows:

 

November: Professional Development

December: Management

January: Making a Career Change to Librarianship

February: Additional Post-graduate Degrees

March: Mentoring

April: Conferences

 

When leading the discussion, it was encouraged that the leaders include some signifier such as ODF: TOPIC NAME in the subject line of the e-mail in order for people to easily pick out our conversation threads.

 

Due to family issues, the chair dropped the ball on getting summaries of all the discussions posted to the NMRT website. If this is to be done in the future, the chair recommends that a summary outline be developed for the committee members to fill in.

 

 

**Action Items/Issues To Be Resolved What plans/projects remain which will be carried over or postponed until next year? Have there been any substantial changes in plans requiring a reconsideration or cancellation of projects? Information regarding such will be helpful for future chairs and planners.

 

There were no ongoing projects started by this committee, but as stated above, if future committees continue with the format of leading discussions and then posting a summary to the NMRT website, it is recommended that a summary template be developed.
