**Goals, Objectives, Projects completed (including, but not limited to, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during the reporting year):

The committee recruited five well-known library leaders to speak at a program titled: Leadership Through Publication: Making a Difference With Scholarship. Speakers were: Hannelore Rader, Dean, University Libraries, University of Louisville, Carla J. Stoffle, Dean of Libraries and Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona, Charles B. Lowry, Dean of Libraries, University of Maryland, College Park, Jennifer Cargill, Dean of Libraries and Kathleen and Joel Ory Endowed Professor at Louisiana State University, Deanna Marcum, Associate Librarian for Library Services, Library of Congress.

 

Cargill cancelled shortly before the conference due to a family emergency. Lowry was unable to attend due to inclement weather. Marcum, who was not scheduled to attend, did come, so the program had three speakers.

 

Laura Kortz welcomed an audience of about 150, and Jessie Copeland introduced the speakers. Charles Lowry's talk will be made available through Footnotes.

 

**Action Items/Issues To Be Resolved – What plans/projects remain which will be carried over or postponed until next year? Have there been any substantial changes in plans requiring a reconsideration or cancellation of projects? Information regarding such will be helpful for future chairs and planners.

 

Be sure to schedule a room large enough to hold 200 and request theater seating. Check with Kim Sanders by March to make sure an appropriate room has been selected.
