3. What kind of interaction have you had with your committees thus far this year? What support have you been able to provide them?

I try and send a communication at least once a month if not more often. The group has been fairly quiet. Considering this is a new committee it is hard to pin down what our priorities are. Many people joined because they were interested in the Diversity portion and the promotion, recruitment and membership pieces are not as clear. I do try and provide any guidance I can. I think this group needs to have at least 2 chairs to bring it together. My experience was with the Diversity Committee and it would have helped a lot to have a co-chair who had been a member of one of the other committees that were combined into MPDR.

4. What would you still like to accomplish in your office before the end of your term?

I would like to get the emails sent out to those who have been ALA members for 3 years or less. I would like to get the diversity survey put together in the hopes that it could be administered next year.
