**Activity in Current Reporting Period 

a)      Projects completed (For example, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during this period):

Planning for the NMRT Booth at ALA Annual Conference began before midwinter conference. Committee members indicated a preferred task and were organized into sub groups.  The subgroups are: Gift baskets, surveys, display board, handouts, and volunteers. This will take care of all our tasks to prepare and staff the booth in Chicago.

 

 

b)      Projects in progress but not yet completed:

Maintain a committee presence on the NMRT website, particularly for communicating the work of the committee to all NMRT members and for recruiting volunteers for ALA Chicago. This should happen as we approach April and May.

 

Revise and update Booth procedures – this will also happen as we work through the procedures for setting up, staffing and taking down the booth.

 

Investigate purchase of a mobile, re-usable exhibit system (including furniture, signage, storage, and carpet) to replace the existing display board and annual furniture/carpet rental. Some preliminary research has been done on this, but will probably not be completed in this committee cycle.

More work on developing a more professional looking booth for NMRT.
