**Goals, Objectives, Projects completed (including, but not limited to, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during the reporting year):

1)  In our continuing effort to provide access to NMRT's official records via the NMRT Archives Database, we have completed the set of planning, progress and final reports for 2003-04 which were submitted by committee chairs and executive board officers this past year.

2)  Paper copies of the 2002-03 and 2003-04 electronic reports which are accessible in the archives database have been compiled and are ready to be sent to the ALA Archives at U of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  We are awaiting the last batch of final reports (due by December 17, 2004 from MW-MW committees) before sending the packet off to Chris Prom at the ALA Archives.

3)  The updated version of the Archives Committee entry for the NMRT Handbook was submitted to the Handbook Committee in August 2004.  It should be appearing in the NMRT Handbook shortly.

4)  An article written by Bill Armstrong and myself entitled “The Evolution of a Documents Digitization Project within the American Library Association's New Members Round Table” was completed in September and has been submitted for publication.  It discusses the work done by the Archives Committee and the Documents Digitization Task Force in developing the NMRT Archives Database.  We will make sure to send out an announcement once the publisher is finalized.

**Action Items/Issues To Be Resolved – What plans/projects remain which will be carried over or postponed until next year? Have there been any substantial changes in plans requiring a reconsideration or cancellation of projects? Information regarding such will be helpful for future chairs and planners.

A new scanning/digitization project is being explored concerning 321 paper reports (of planning, progress, & final reports dating back to 1996) which are presently in my possession.  Much will need to be discussed about organizing a group of volunteers and getting the project off and running.   It is highly recommended that the chair(s) of this project consult the above-mentioned article since many of the issues they will be facing have already been addressed by the Documents Digitization Task Force.
