**Goals, Objectives, Projects completed (including, but not limited to, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during the reporting year):

Our committee was charged with investigating whether to renew the Affiliates council (a group of representatives from the state NMRT groups) or whether to pursue outreach to these groups in a different form. We compiled a list of state and regional NMRT groups, with contact names. We created a survey of questions about the NMRT groups and what kind of help they might like from us. We administered our survey and tallied the results. We wrote a final report with recommendations that was presented to the NMRT executive board at the electronic board meeting. We recommended that NMRT create a permanent Affiliates committee to oversee a listserv for the state NMRTs, to organize an informal meeting at annual conference, and to serve as an information resource for state groups that are just getting started or trying to revitalize.

 

**Action Items/Issues To Be Resolved What plans/projects remain which will be carried over or postponed until next year? Have there been any substantial changes in plans requiring a reconsideration or cancellation of projects? Information regarding such will be helpful for future chairs and planners.

The Affiliates committee is a one-year, ad-hoc committee. However, we have recommended that the committee be continued for another year, or be made a standing committee. We would be happy to pass on our documentation (copy of the survey, the results, and the contact list) to a new committee.
