**Activity in Current Reporting Period 

a)      Projects completed (For example, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during this period):

The committee met at a closed session during the Midwinter Conference and selected three grant recipients from a pool of 112 applicants. Non-winners have been informed by e-mail. Recipients have signed a statement outlining their responsibilities. The statement of responsibility was rewritten to include more explicit instructions. Judy Nelson, 3M Liaison, has been contacted and given the names of the recipients.

 

b)      Projects in progress but not yet completed:

We are working on a press release, to be finished shortly. The chair will keep in touch with 3M and the Booth Committee to arrange for the 3M poster featuring winners to be displayed the NMRT booth. The chair will maintain contact with the recipients to make sure that everything is proceeding smoothly. The recipients will be honored, as usual, at the 3M/NMRT Social at the Annual Meeting in Orlando.

Have there been any substantial changes in plans since then? What items, if any, have been deferred until next year?):

The Board might want to consider setting up an ad hoc committee composed of past award committee chairs to review selection criteria for both the 3M Grant and the Olofson Award.
