**Goals, Objectives, Projects completed (including, but not limited to, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during the reporting year):

      Forum: Designing a successful library school field experience

      Promotional flyer with names of panelists and description of the forum with date and time; information sent to various electronic lists and put in Footnotes; flyer turned into a web page by committee members and sent to the Web Committee for posting on the Midwinter site.

      Panelists included: Eve Wider (University of Pittsburgh), Paul Kelsey (Louisiana State University), Dr. Mohan Ramaswamy (Kansas State University), Beth Filar Williams (Southwest Library Services), Yolanda Maloney (Colorado University, Boulder), Sheila Hannaway Craig (graduate student, Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis), and Patricia McCandless (Ohio State University).

      Attendance: 8 panelists,

      Wide range of answers to all questions.

      Suggested topics for future forums: Professional publishing how-tos, salary negotiation, professional development after the MLS, and information services in the digital arena.

      One suggestion that made an appearance more than once was to have better time management for all speakers so that everyone is heard during the allotted time.

Have there been any substantial changes in plans requiring a reconsideration or cancellation of projects? Information regarding such will be helpful for future chairs and planners. N/A

      Final count: approx. 15

o       8 completed evaluations

      A better time for the Discussion Forum would be on Saturday or Sunday of conference, as many people leave on Monday morning.

      Panel format and interaction worked well. There should be a wider range of perspectives on any topic for the future.
