**Activity in Current Reporting Period

a) Projects completed (For example, any procedures, tip sheets, checklists, etc. created during this period):

Committee conducted a successful Midwinter Orientation at Philadelphia. Tasks included confirming Midwinter speakers, securing division and round table representatives for breakout session, preparing bags for participants, publicity in NMRT-L, NewLib, and Footnotes, creating simple Orientation Web site, copying handouts, revising program evaluations, etc.

 

b) Projects in progress but not yet completed:

The committee is working hard to present a successful Annual Orientation session. Projects currently underway include: working with NMRT Publicity committee, confirming Annual speakers, working with Conference Planning Task Force to create Web pages with relevant orientation information, obtaining additional ALA literature and bags from EBSCO, writing article for Footnotes, securing division and roundtable representatives for breakout session, and working with Conference Planning Task Force as well as Canadian counterparts on the possibility of food at meeting.

All items mentioned in the Planning Report are currently in progress. There has been no substantial change in plans since the earlier report.
