Parker, Chair of The American Library Association's E-rate Task Force and Library Program Specialist for the State Library of Florida, will be testifying tomorrow, May 8th, before the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Public Forum on Improving the Administration of the E-rate Program. Mr. Parker will testify about the success of the E-rate program in enabling local libraries to provide the public with access to the Internet and educational technology. He will praise the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) for administering the program with due diligence and effectiveness, and will discuss proposals to make adjustments to the over five year old E-rate program -- with the purpose of spreading the benefits and protecting the program's integrity.
