In This Issue: Reminder! Submit your comments to NTIA by August 27th!

Don't miss this opportunity to make the library voice heard! The deadline for submission of comments on Internet safety to the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is August 27th. The NTIA Study examines the following issues:

1) The development and effectiveness of local Internet safety policies currently in operation after community input 

2) How to foster development of measures that meet such needs

3) Whether currently available technology protection measures adequately address the needs of educational institutions, including libraries, in protecting children's safety on the Internet


Please take this opportunity to tell the government how your library protects kids from inappropriate material on the Internet.
